Pet Nutrition Consultations, What is involved?
Every animal is unique and every client I work with also has a unique set of needs in order to be successful in fueling their pet’s health and longevity. It is my hope that through the services I provide I can give each pet parent the tools they need to be successful. With my general pet nutrition consultations I work with clients who are focused on preventative and holistic options including nutritional and herbal therapies to fuel health an longevity at any age. Pet owners who know they want to offer fresh food alternatives but aren’t certain about the path forward my new client consultation is the best starting point!
Please note: If you already know you would like to move forward with home cooking, your pet has been diagnosed with a disease or you have a new puppy or Kitten, check out those linked pages for more focused help.
How it works
First, fill out an appointment request form so that I can collect more information about you and your pet. Next, email me: wellspetnutrition@gmail.com any current veterinarian diagnosis, bloodwork or testing you have received (animal biome, allergy testing, skin testing, etc.) at least 48 hours prior to your appointment for review.
Schedule a phone consultation
Once I receive your new client form, I will email you with available days/times to schedule your phone consultation. During your appointment we will examine your pet as a whole and analyze factors such as:
Medical history, symptoms and past treatment plans
Diet (all life cycles)
Environmental factors
Supplement use
Stress factors
Behavior/emotional changes
Veterinary diagnosis and/or testing
During your appointment your concerns will be addressed. The relationship you have with your pet is important to the treatment process. It is with your intuition and intimate knowledge of your pet’s past that will ultimately bring about a healthier future for your pet.
Once we have identified your pet's current health concerns, together we will identify a personalized healing plan for your pet.
CREATING Your Pet’s HEALING PLAN- What can I expect?
During your phone consultation I will make certain recommendations that could help fuel your pet’s health. Clients have the opportunity of either receiving my notes from the call via email, or they may decide to move forward with additional services I provide (see below).
What will my notes include?
Assessment of your pet’s current diet, supplements and treats in regards to your pet’s current life stage or health goals.
Health goals by organ system, from a species perspective, in order to get to the root cause of symptoms.
Food recommendations: Home cooking recommendations, raw, freeze-dried, dehydrated and specific “treats” to mitigate health concerns or meet health related goals.
Basic supplement recommendations for your pet’s life stage (Hips & Joints, Omega-3, Probiotics, Digestive enzymes, Dental Health, Dysbiosis, etc) based on your animals health assessment.
Caloric calculations for your pet’s age and lifestyle, including a breakdown of how much should be from the diet and how much from treats given to maintain a healthy weight.
Holistic options for flea/tick, parasite prevention, titer testing, additional integrative therapies such as; laser, ozone, acupuncture or chiropractic care, fecal transplants, and testing options along with local resources available.

How are my services different from others?
With a quick search from the internet, I’ve found that many other pet nutrition businesses charge a base price of $500 with little time spent over the phone actually helping answer clients questions in order to find the right nutritional path for your lifestyle and pet! My passion is to help clear out the miss information and help pet owners find their unique path, with a focus on your intuition and knowledge of your pet’s unique quirks and needs. I am also THE ONLY pet nutrition counselor that takes your pet’s behaviors and desires into consideration. I’m concerned about finding a nutritional pet YOUR PET LOVES and THRIVES on and I will work to change it if your pet doesn’t LOVE their meals each day! I make sure you are CONFIDENT and filled with joy and energy with the path we define for your pet.
