Health and happiness for your pet—backed by science. https://animalbiome.com/our-science

Your pet’s gastrointestinal (GI) tract hosts a unique community of hundreds of different types of bacteria and other microbes (such as viruses and fungi), referred to collectively as the gut microbiome (pronounced: mī-krō-ˈbī-ˌōm). A diverse, well-balanced gut microbiome is essential for digestion and nutrient absorption. Each bacterial group in the gut plays an important role in your pet’s body, so a healthy gut microbiome is also crucial for overall well-being and longevity.

When some key beneficial bacteria are missing from the microbiome, or the different bacterial groups aren’t present in the right amounts, the resulting imbalance can trigger inflammation. And constant inflammation can lead to chronic illnesses, such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), skin issues, immune system reactions, diabetes, and even depression.

Our microbiome testing and supplement products provide a scientific, comprehensive roadmap to achieving a healthy gut microbiome through our 3-Step Process: Test | Restore | Maintain.

The Glacier Peak Sensitivity test is a useful tool in identifying imbalances and disturbances within the entire body, which could be leading to the following symptoms:

  • Reoccurring ear infections

  • Constant itchy skin and/or rashes

  • Hot spots

  • Goopy eyes

  • Digestive upset like diarrhea or constipation

  • Constant licking of the paws

  • Red discoloration under eyes and on paws

  • Anal Gland issues

How is the your test different than my veterinarians test?

Unlike traditional allergy testing, which takes a blood sample and can cost upwards of $300, the test we use has the ability to read the energetic resonance that emanates from the hair and saliva samples we provide to the lab. It is so much more than an allergy test for dogs and cats as it can identify imbalances and disturbances within the entire body using biofeedback. (Information taken from Glacier Peaks website.)

What will the test tell us?

The test we use, called the Glacier Peak Sensitivity Test, tests over 300 potential triggers. These triggers include: protein, fat, carbohydrates, chemicals, trees, pollen, cleaning supplies and even sensitivities to chlorine. We also learn about imbalances in the body such as: excess yeast, candida, fungus, parasites, immune system issues and over exposure to pesticides, herbicides and vaccines.

NutriScan

Dr. Jean Dobbs

NutriScan tests for the most commonly ingested foods of up to 112 ingredients to provide you specific results as to your pet’s food intolerance or sensitivities.

  • Tests for 24 purified food extracts and related food ingredients

  • The only accurate, proven test for pet food sensitivity

  • Easy saliva collection device with a volume indicator

Nutriscan is the only clinically predictable diagnostic test for dogs, cats and horses to identify the commonly seen food intolerances and sensitivities in saliva. It is not a test for the rarely seen true allergies to foods. The Nutriscan test is patent protected in the United States and internationally.

Please remember that testing for food sensitivities and intolerances with IgA and IgM antibodies is NOT the same as allergy testing. Allergies are more acute hypersensitivities caused from the release of different types of antibodies. Thus serum is NOT a reliable diagnostic fluid for testing food sensitivities.

HairIQ

Dr. Peter Dobias

A HAIRQ TEST CAN ASSIST YOU IN:

  • finding out what minerals are missing in your dog’s diet

  • detecting the levels of harmful heavy metals

  • adjusting your dog’s supplement doses

  • preventing disease and cancer

  • preventing premature aging

  • maintaining proper organ and immune system function

MORE DETAILS

Hair is formed from clusters of matrix cells that make up the follicles. During the growth phase the hair is exposed to the internal metabolic environment such as the circulating blood, lymph and extracellular fluids.

As the hair continues to grow and reaches the surface of the skin, its outer layers harden, locking in the metabolic products accumulated during this period of hair formation. This biological process provides us with a blueprint and lasting record of nutritional metabolic activity that has occurred during this time.

Determining the levels of the elements in the hair is a highly sophisticated analytical technique. When performed to exacting standards and interpreted correctly, it may be used as a screening aid for mineral deficiencies, excesses and/or biochemical imbalances.

A HairQ test provides you with a sensitive indicator of the long-term effects of diet and toxic metal exposure.

The HairQ test results were obtained in a government licensed clinical laboratory adhering to analytical procedures that comply with government protocol.

Elements tested for:

Calcium, Magnesium, Sodium, Potassium, Copper, Zinc, Phosphorus, Iron, Manganese, Chromium, Selenium, Cobalt, Molybdenum, Sulfur, Uranium, Arsenic, Beryllium, Mercury, Cadmium, Lead, Aluminum, Germanium, Barium, Lithium, Nickel, Platinum, Vanadium, Strontium, Tin, Tungsten and Zirconium.

Disclaimer: The laboratory test results and the comprehensive report should not be construed as diagnostic. It is provided only as an additional source of information.
