Customizable Nutrition Consultations

Every animal is unique and every client I work with also has a unique set of needs in order to be successful in fueling their pet’s health and longevity. It is my hope that through this customizable service I can give each pet parent the tools they need to be successful, while also staying within each person’s budgetary requirements.

How it works!

First, fill out a new client/appointment request form so that I can collect more information about you and your pet. Appointments slots are either 30 mins ($75 ) or 60 mins ($150). If you would like one of my all inclusive packages click here to learn more about those options!

What will happen during my 1 consultation?

In your first wellness appointment we will examine your pet as a whole and analyze factors such as:

  • Medical history, symptoms and past treatment plans

  • Diet (all life cycles)

  • Environmental factors

  • Supplement use

  • Stress factors

  • Behavior/emotional changes

  • Veterinary diagnosis and/or testing (Please email this ahead of time for me to review)

During your appointment your concerns will be addressed.  The relationship you have with your pet is important to the treatment process. It is with your intuition and intimate knowledge of your pet’s past that will ultimately bring about a healthier future for your pet.

Once we have identified your pet's current health concerns, together we will identify a personalized healing plan for your pet.

What Can I expect when I purchase a home cooking plan?

Home cooking for your pet is one of the best ways to keep your pet healthy from puppy/kitten to senior. By home cooking for your pet you are offering a species appropriate way to meet your pet’s nutrient needs through every life stage.

Beginner service- With this service my goal is to give pet owners the beginning tools needed to start successfully home cooking for their pet. To keep this diet balanced, I will include recommend home cooking supplements that keeps the process simple. Once a client has moved their pet over to this diet and they feel confident with the home cooking process, they have the choice to work with me to balance the base recipe with all food based ingredients while removing the balancing supplements. A pet owner can also stick with this home cooking process for the life of their pet.

Advanced Home Cooking- With this service I will create a fully balanced home cooked recipe using 98% food based ingredients, including organ meat and bone meal. Based on your request I can create a raw or gently cooked version based on your preference. This meal plan can be more affordable for many pet owners (especially large breed dogs) as long as you can acquire the ingredients. Many of my clients will start with the basic plan (get their feet wet) and then work with me to moving their pet into this type of home cooking process!

Home cooking from Puppy - Senior

Many clients wonder why the puppy home cooking package is more expensive than the adult/senior option. This is because a puppy’s diet is much more complex than an adult/seniors diet and it takes me a lot more time to formulate a diet for each puppy client. Also, with puppies, the best way to balance a diet for them is with organ meat, bone meal and specific fats for cellular, organ and joint growth. I also, ask that clients check in with me on a monthly bases to alter the diet as their puppy grows into adult hood. This allows for me to keep the diet balanced during the entire phase of development!

Home Cooking for Disease Management

Many clients come to me to create a recipe to give a pet with a newly diagnosed veterinarian disease. I love creating these type of diets in order to offer pet owners an alternative to the highly processed prescription diets. By home cooking, pet owners can lower disease causing inflammation while also reducing the high costs of a prescription diet! Some pet owners also report ingredient/sourcing/manufacturing concerns, distributing issues and even problems with low palatability, due to their pet refusing to eat the food.

Clients have the options of either purchasing a wellness plan for disease management or breaking up the service into a customizable plan.

How are my services different from others?

With a quick search from the internet, I’ve found that many other pet nutrition businesses only offer clients a single recipe with an individual price tag of $500 per recipe! When clients work with me, they get:

  • A fully balanced recipe plus my home cooking guide, which offers a lot of ingredient flexibility.

  • A diet plan that will meet your pet’s life stage and or newly diagnosed disease/health concerns

  • Calorie recommendations (diet and treat calorie recommendations to keep the diet balanced)

  • Supplement recommendations for overall health or to balance the recipe (including links)

  • Treat recommendations (what to look for or avoid) based on your pet’s health needs

  • Individualized exercise recommendations

  • Sourcing information

  • A Food journal

  • Transition ideas from your old diet to the new diet

  • Home cooking options (Instapot, crock pot, stove top) along with temp recommendations

  • Food processing techniques for better nutrient metabolism

  • Alterations are given/recommended for those wishing to raw feed

Home cooking is one of the most beneficial and nutrient dense dietary option for pets! Recipes are individually created for each pet’s specific health goals while also meeting your pet’s dietary needs and or restrictions! Home cooking also allows pet owners to diversify the diet throughout the year by focusing on a variety of seasonal ingredients. My goal for creating the home cooking guide was to help clients feel comfortable and confident with the home cooking process by giving them the tools to feel successful in order to fuel health and longevity long term for each pet!
